Vita Moderna, a contemporary fine-dining restaurant in Milan, is seeking a visionary Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen. We are looking for someone who combines deep respect for Italian culinary traditions with a bold, modern twist, creating dishes that surprise and delight guests.

Responsibility

You will set the creative direction of the kitchen, design progressive menus, and ensure flawless execution while managing a passionate culinary team.

Develop and execute seasonal tasting menus with a focus on innovation and Italian heritage

Lead and inspire a team of sous chefs, cooks, and pastry specialists

Collaborate with sommeliers and mixologists to create perfect pairings

Oversee daily operations including prep, service, and quality control

Manage kitchen budgets, supplier negotiations, and inventory

Champion sustainability and local sourcing in menu development

Qualifications

We want a culinary innovator with proven leadership experience, creative flair, and strong operational skills to balance artistry with efficiency.

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants

Formal culinary education or equivalent hands-on expertise

Exceptional knowledge of Italian cuisine, with modern gastronomy techniques

Strong leadership and mentoring skills to build a high-performing team

Track record of innovative menu creation and guest satisfaction

Fluent in English; Italian language a strong advantage
