Mediterraneo Cruises is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee culinary operations aboard our luxury cruise ships. The ideal candidate will deliver a diverse range of high-quality international cuisines while leading a dynamic onboard culinary team.
Responsibility
You will manage all aspects of onboard kitchen operations, design menus for multiple dining venues, and ensure consistent culinary excellence for thousands of guests.
Oversee kitchen operations across multiple dining venues on the ship
Create diverse menus catering to international guests and special dietary requirements
Lead, train, and motivate a large team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier contracts efficiently
Ensure strict compliance with maritime health, safety, and sanitation standards
Collaborate with cruise management for special events, banquets, and themed dinners
Qualifications
We are looking for a chef with international cuisine experience, large-team leadership, and the ability to manage operations in a fast-paced cruise environment.
Proven experience as an Executive Chef on cruise ships, luxury resorts, or large hotels
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
Strong knowledge of international cuisines and large-scale kitchen operations
Excellent leadership, team management, and organizational skills
Experience with budgeting, inventory, and supplier relations in high-volume settings
Fluent in English; Italian language skills an advantage
